Smoking With Wood Over Butane

I find that when I toke it up with matches or a lit toothpick(when i have no lighter) that the marijuana taste is much more profound. I think that the butane may cover up some of the full flavor of this wonderful plant! Anyone else find this to happen?

I'm actually just the opposite. I find the taste of the burning match material and sulfer to be really yukky. I'd use a lit stick tho. I don't register any flavor from the butane lighter.

I would rather have a hemp wick when smoking from my vapor genie...otherwise you inhale A LOT of butane.

You don't inhale butane, you just inhale water + carbon dioxide :P

but yes, I also like the taste when using hempwick with the VaporGenie, though I always just switch back to a lighter because the hempwick just can't keep a large enough flame to heat the ceramic filter
