Should you have air flow during dark periods?

I'm sure I read somewhere that you can/must switch of your in/out fans during dark periods. It would be useful to know as my growroom id directly below my neighbours bedroom and the less noise the better.

My venting system is run by a thermostat to keep everything around 75 degrees. So, while that system is always ready to kick in, the vent fans don't run during the dark period because the room cools down and it doesn't get hot enough to trigger them. But I definitely keep the movement (oscillating floor or wall mounted) fans going during the dark for interior air circulation and mold prevention.

Hey morkenlee, looks like you got your answer. Just my 2 cents here... Fans won't hurt the plant during dark period. When you think about it, outdoor plants would still have wind at night. If you're worried about temps I'd run them. Also, air flow helps strengthen the stem and make it grow thick. Do you have a grow journal?
