I saw a thing on how to make a vaporizer from a lightbulb and a couple pens, i also heard that it could blow up in ur face, does this happen alot and does it fuck up ur face?

I wouldnt make one out of a bulb, I mean, i've done it before and all, but its not something i'd do often. Last homemade vaporizer attempt I made, resulted in a glass cup exploding and cutting a friends foot, so I stay away from the homemade vapes.

I'd say the vapes they sell are made out of pyrex ....

They only blow up if you use them for a long time or leave the flame on it too long.

i wouldnt care why it blew up who wants somthing that could potentially blow up period. plus were getting baked not roasting marshmellos, so i would expect that to happen if ur stoned and not paying attention.

If you want to make a home made vape there are a couple ways you can go about this. Two methods i know of are a NEW soddering iron, don't want sodder evaporating with your smoke, and a heat gun. but i never built one i liked so i can't explain how to do it with those materials.
