I'm looking for the real facts on weed's health effects. I've found some good stuff but still need some more. If you know of any good sites please let me know. Our facts section is by far the best but I'm wary of citing 420times in a school paper. Thanks for the help

Go to a library and look for the book Marijuana Myths, Marijuana Facts, by Lynn Zimmer, Ph.D and John P. Morgan, M.D. This book has everything you need to know about weed, and has an excellent source of references for their research.
If you can't find it, you can always use the information from this site and paraphrase or summarize it, so you're not copying directly and infringing on copyrights. I don't know much else to help you, other than the internet is an incredible source for facts, it may take a lot of searching but it can be done. And there is always the library. Hope this helps.

When I looked up marijuana's health facts on the net all I got was a bunch of government sponsored bullshit and anti-drug lies. It's really hard to get the truth simply because pot is too illegal to do medical tests on. But I've heard that THC reduces carcinogens whereas nicotine activates them. I've also heard that marijuana leads to increased birth weights, regrows memory cells in the brain, and expands hairs in the respiration system rather than constricting them. Here's a site full of interesting facts:
The American Medical Institution has always been on our side too:

They say that Understanding Marijuana : A New Look at the Scientific Evidence is a great book. It's newer and less biased. It's written by Mitch Earleywine. (I havn't read it yet, I should at some time or another) That AMA link is great. There's a lot you could use in defense of our beloved herb, and the AMA is a good source.

I'm halfway through it, but a good source on early history of medical marijuana is Marijuana: A historyBy Martin Booth I've been posting a lot on stuff I found in it so don't be surprised if I bring this one up again lol.
