Of course we all want to legalize...but what steps have you personally made to help the great cause? I personally haven't done much besides emailing my state reps to oppose new marijuana laws. And do you know of any other ways so the average person can help out.

other than being a terrorist, there is no other way to be a big fuck you to the federal gov't than having your MMJ card. I personally sign petitions, attend rallies, festivals, online discussions and always represent my medicine in a positive light while at least attempting to be unbiased.

HAHA, I agree. Besides spradinf the word, supporting AND utilizing your local medical marijuana laws is critical to the movement. So many people in many states can become medical marijuana users, but most marijuana smokers dont even know the laws that allow them to do this.

I've sent some e-mails and shit like most of use. Its real nice to see all these fights over medical marijuana and decriminaliztion. I'm tired of always being a criminal. I guess I'd have to stop living to not be a criminal anymore though. At least my record didn't carry over after I turned 18. I've almost been a felon 3 times. Fight the good fight.

After I get my taxes back I plan on joining NORML and MMP, as of right now I just try and educated people on it. Last semester I wrote an article on the legalization of marijuana in Denver, trying to be as unbiased as possible. I got good reviews from my friends and my parents.

I personally believe MMJ will soon be joining the culture war that has been fought since the early 90's (ie the WPO, abortion/gay rights, the US's global affairs ect.) soon these will be major forefronts in a battlefield of policy

HAHA, you are dead on. I've asked this question many times on this board; with more and more states legalizing medical marijauna, and with the federal government continualy arresting medical marijuana patients and growers, what will happen if 25 or more states adopt medical marijuana laws? See, the governtmnet is supposed to enforce the WILL OF THE PEOPLE. So, if half of the country (or more) vote on medical marijuana, yet the govenrment still mandates that marijuana is illegal....they are NO LONGER enforcing the will of the people. THis scenario is approaching, I see that as the major breaking point of the governments stance on medical marijuana.

med weed should be a shoe in im more concerned about my feedom to do as i please as long as im not harming anything. I might be more concerned about the dangers of the legal drugs like tobbaco and alchohal another one i was thinking about was car emissions. thats gotta be more harmful than anything we got going. And i cant even smoke the herb.

I wrote a school paper or two on the benifits of medical marijuana. I talk to anyone willing to listen, but back it all up with facts. I've changed quite a few minds. Makes you feel good
I get the NORML newsletter, but Im not a financial supporter yet. Hope to change that in the next 6 months. So becoming a medical marijuana user helps the great fight? Im 18 now. So its a possibilty now. I have medical problems that cannabis does help. peace |

SX, if you have any sort of documented disability you should ask your doctor flat out for a recomendation for cannabis. If they say no, there are hosts of doctors in California more accepting of the idea of cannabis as medicine. I'm pretty sure NORML has a listing, but if you cant find any, post your location and I might know someone in the area. If marijauna genuinly helps relive your pain or suffering from a disability, you SHOULD BECOME A LEGAL MEDICAL MARIJAUNA USER. You will get access to the highest quality marijuana, hash, keif, and tinctures you can get in the state, legaly, and be able to grow plants, legaly. Besides that, you will be joining a growing movement of citizens fed up with being told by government politicans, not medical doctors, what they can and can not ingest to relieve their medical pain.
I totaly agree that marijuana, in all its forms, should be legalized for any user. But medical marijuana is paving a way through the governmnets bullshit war on MJ and is a stepping stone twoards legalization. -PM |

Mr. PM i believe the the gov't and society in general are nearing that all time high breaking point on a lot of things. You guys also have big buisness to thank for having MMJ pushed back. You dont think pharmacutical companies are delaying the legalization of MJ the wonder drug? Think of how much money these companies are making from having all these different forms of medication for different illness'. If and when MMJ becomes legal itll be a bomb dropped on the economy which means corporate america wont be making its pennies off the sick and dying who are literally forced to spend more money than they have to stay alive, which has been the strategy of pharmacutical companies for decades

keep the profit on the streets...too many people make a decent living off selling harmless buds...
the last thing i want is some corrupt cracker politician in a suit to have an influence over weed... think about it..if its legalized..whats to stop the government from limiting potency and quality of weed.... who cares if its legalized or not..you are obviously getting it either ways... |
