overgrow was the biggest forums on the net that was narijuana related.... I myself had an account with OG and i can tell you from first hand experience that there was a lot of traffic coming in and out of there daily. The mistakes that were made was that the website was shut down... why was it shut down??? because there was obviously some illegal stuff going on. The government isnt going to shut down a site because it is giving information. OG was basically a place that was being tainted with shady users. Some were mailing weed and seeds to different members and alot of that was a topic of discussion on there site. Definatly not a cool thing to do, if we try to remain calm and not let things get out of hand, then 420 times will be the biggest forum that is still running and we will never get shut down because 420 is only providing information, not trafficking seeds and bud.

OG was a great community, and full of great information. From what I've heard the guy running it was into a lot of shady stuff. He had some grow op going on and selling seeds online. Thats what caused him to get caught. It is said he shutdown the servers when he heard the feds were coming so no ones info would be taken. Then someone found out he had stuff registared in all these false names. As long as 420times.com users and admins don't do stupid shit I don't see any problems with the law. It not a crime to support medical marijuana or marijuana legalization. Just use your heads people, and keep this site up.

We here at 420Times.com do not allow underage members, we do not support seed and bud trading or selling between members, we do not allow hookup threads either. We try to make 420Times.com a place where you can find fellow stoner friends, get some info and just chill out.

The fact that OG went under is a terrible thing, but they were conducting some illegal activities.. For instance, their affiliate site where Heaven’s Stairway Seed Company, a seed distributor based in Montreal, Canada that sent seeds worldwide. Like most of you know, in the USA it is illegal to receive seeds. Following the Marc Emery bust many online seed distributors went down. They also had a similar seed site in Europe. It was bound to happen at some point, sadly. And it's a loss to all online stoners worldwide.

You have to appreciate what Marc Emery was trying to do though. He was trying to "overgrow" the world into legalization by selling so many seeds they would have to legalize.

I understand this 420% and I'll be the 1st to support and appreciate everything he has done for the cause, but when you get yourself into illegal activities, distributing seeds where it is completly illegal to do so, then you are just diging your own grave. Sell seeds all you want but do it legally, that's my opinion.

I for one am really glad that 420times has strict rules. Like CherryEyed said without em we'd have hooligans and little kids everywhere. Thats the main reason I come to this site. It has good info and responsible adult members. I hate sites that are full of little kids and immature people.

I find it hard for anyone to be on the right side of the law and support a cause that illegal. I don't even view marijuana as illegal anymore cause I've been around it so long. Its not suprising when a site is shutdown or someone is busted. It could happen to anyone. Even the stuff on this site could one day, God forbid, be considered illegal by some government.

I'm perfectly happy the way this site is ran and don't think there should be any changes. I just don't think Marc Emery should be put down at all.

I did not put him down, if you are referring to what I wrote. I simply stated that in if he had not distributed seeds where it is illegal to do so, in the United States of America, then his company would probably still be up and running and so would OG, probably. But he tried to go all out with his mission, by over growing the governement and sadly conducted illegal sales which, in the end, led him to being arrested and if sent to the US he would get a lifetime sentence.

He was sent to the U.S. and had to serve a sentence in prison, although it wasn't very long, only a couple months I believe. I support what he did. I love this site and everyone on it, sorry if I came off as trying to bash anyone.

I think that the whole over growing idea is the way, you all know that but it can't be done through sale of seeds it has to be done by idividuals that are aware of what they are doing and aware of the risks. I respect the rules of this site and believe that I for the most part follow all the rules if I don't they are unintentional slips, When I first joined this site I joined it to get my ideas out there to all of you and through out the time I've been here I've gotten to spread my word and I've grown to respect the thoughts and ideas of most of you. Warm and fuzzie inside..... THis site has been a great outlet for me to vent feelings on legalization and get new ideas on how to better increase my growth of ideas. I wouldn't want to see anything happen to this site, I've grown to see it as a home inside my home, All my friends in my plastic box make me feel warm and fuzzy

i think you mods are doing a good job running this site. As long as we dont try to sell shit to each other, well be fine. Just make sure these forms dont turn into another yahooka, where kids pretty much run the place. But yeah u guys are foin good.
