The male plant produces much lower quality pot than the female.
If your male is near any female plants, remove it immediatly. You do not want polination to occur, turning the female buds into unsmokeable seeds. If you have a lone male that will not force its sexual attentions onto anyone's sweet virginal female: People will tell you that the weed is junk and to throw it out. I diagree with them: 1) Smoking leaf will get you high. Plus, it can be used as fill for some of the more wasteful (but oh so cool) ways of smoking weed. A one ounce joint, for example. 2) A cured male flower is such a rarity that smoking it has value beyond how high it gets you. You can join the very few who can say "I once smoked a male." 3) It can be processed for cannibutter. The male leaves are almost as potent as female leaves. In short, your plant is a lemon, but isn't it lucky that you know about lemonade?
