Intervention on A&E

Who here watches "Intervention" on A&E every now and then? It's about people addicted to various things, and their friends and family deciding to give them the option: get help or get out. Until the actual intervention, the subjects think they're doing a plain documentary about addiction. I think it is a really great show, and most of the time, they really do make people change for the better. Right now they're following up on an alcoholic and a meth addict who accepted treatment. They had an anorexic on the other day.

I have NEVER seen an episode with somebody addicted to pot.

ya i seen that one too......ya i wonder why theyd dont do someone addicted to pot.....they did one on this kid who was addicted to "video games" like he has a job and does karate but doesnt go out much......like the mom was all afraid the kid was gunna die.....i couldnt belive they did one on video games.

Wait... they did an Intervention for VIDEO GAMES? What the fuck? Was this kid like 600 pounds or something??? If they did one for video games they can certainly do one for weed... although I hope they don't.

I don't think there would be one on pot, people don't react as severely to the news that someones a pot head. When you find out someone close to you is addicted to some dangerous and deadly drug like crack or meth it calls for an intervention. But when you find out someone close to you smokes a lot of pot most people are just like, "oh...yeah he always did seem kinda lazy."

no I have watched almost every single show and pot is not a drug that will fuck with your life like (crack, herion,extacy,meth,cocain) those are the drugs that take you down and take you down quick. As for pot I highly don't think they will have a show of a pot head who let weed take him down, mj does'nt do that to people if it does then I dont know what to think about that person. (DUMB ASS) maybe.

hmm lemme think. I've seen one about a stripper named Christy who was an alcoholic and a meth addict, one about another lady who was an alcoholic, one about a music producer named Tim who was a crack addict, and a few others. The one about the crack addict (Tim) was actually very good because he's the only one I've seen who immediately decided to go to rehab. Also it showed how much better he was eventually no longer an addict.

I think it would be funny to see a spoof on that show with a stoner. It actually wouldnt be that unlikely for it to happen considering the bullshit that people believe about marijuana.

If they did decide to do one for a pothead, it'd probably have a happy ending if he actually went and decided to quit. Wouldn't have so much of a risk of him getting help and losing anyways, ya know? But seriously, if a video game addiction is tough enough for them to do a show on, I'd say weed is within their boundaries as well. What I'd really like to see (or hear about, since I will probably never watch the show...) is a mundane thing. Like Caffeine or Sugar, hell, even a cigarettes episode might be interesting.

I love that show, I wonder how they approach these people to be in a "documentery", offer them free drugs or alcohol? hehe I saw the one with the meth head stripper chick, that was scary!! More people should see it, I never had amy interest in other drugs, that will certainly scare anyone away!!
