(AGI) - Cagliari, Sept 28 - Growing marijuana for personal use is not considered a crime but is equivalent to possession and therefore a simple administrative offence. The judge of Cagliari said this today in a trial of a young man arrested for having two cannabis plants at home. The man, defended by lawyer Giovanni Battista Gallus, was acquitted of the accusation of drugs cultivation. The judge made a distinction between extensive growing for the market, or simply for personal use.
In June a simple sentence was pronounced, also in Cagliari, the Court of Appeal of Cagliari in 2000 was of the same opinion. AGI News on
