Question: Smoking weed in Texas

Hi every1.

I'm on a family venture right now. I/we are from California, but we're in Texas right now for a wedding. My medical marijuana license expired, not that that would do anything here anyway, but I was wondering if anyone has any info or recommendations about smoking here? Can you get good stuff, like, Humboldt good? And what are the consequences of getting caught here? ...I know it's more strict, which is strange because they have no open container laws, lol.. You can drink beer in the passenger's seat! Oh, and they have drive through liquor stores! Lol. Also, the tackle shop for fishing has a poster that says, "GUNS! GUNS! GUNS!" in the front window. It also seems that vegan food is out of the question I'm having a nice time though. I met an armadillo. So, any advice or heads-up?

Depending on the area you are in, it's a ticket or jail. Just depends on the county.

Mostly you can expect Mexi-brick.... some of it is actually pretty decent considering how poorly it is handled. If you have the right hook you could score some chron, but don't expect a "good" deal.......
When I lived there I usually bought pre-rolled blunts... affectionately called "sweets" by the locals 5bones a piece usually, sometimes ten.............

There's a discrepancy. My actual page/paper/prescription states that my license is good until further notice from the physician. However, I didn't bring that. I brought my ID card and it only has a three year time period listed on it :( I need to get this sorted out when I get back to Sacramento.

In texas you can carry around loaded weapons, but you can't smoke pot in public, that's too dangerous :-)

You can drink as a passenger here - no open container laws. They have drive thru liquor stores, and you can order margaritas at the drive thru "Taco Cabana" ...The fishing tackle store we went to had a giant sign in the window that says "GUNS! GUNS! GUNS!" Lol. It's been quite an experience.

Wow I am from Houston and down there you can pick up 3 blunts for 10 bucks all day long! Sounds like you were getting taken!
