I'd expect the conservative streak of Buckley to be slightly distasteful to some at this sight, but his Libertarian leanings were really right up our alley.

Buckley was a huge opponent of the drug war - even before it grew into the huge failed beaurocracy it is today.

My favorite WFB quote to this end...

I heard a rumor that smoked weed, regularly, in the 70's. He just took his yacht outside the three mile limit and lit up legally.

I will miss him. And his use of obscure monosyllabic words.
