good bud by smelling alone?

Is there a way you can tell good bud just by smelling it? If it smells really nice does that mean its good bud or just that it will prolly taste good? Do you know what I mean? I had some really good smelling stuff the other week and maybe I'm wrong but it seemed that my "bunk" bag of old ass weed got me higher. Anyone have any comments on that?

There is zero way of telling a bud is good unless you smoke it.

Smell is some indication as to what it is going to taste like and weather or not it was dried and cured properly but as ***** said smoking it is the only way to tell. If you are purchasing through a new person you should be allowed to, in my personal opinion, try it before you buy it. If you are paying $50 for 3.5 or $100 for 7 then that is something the sales rep is going to have to deal with because that is a lot of money and I don't want to waste on stuff that smells like oranges and tastes like burnt popcorn.

I agree, but I have to say that most Cannabis I have smoked was poor without a distinct aroma to back the high, and to add to character and enhance flavor. Without it, somthing is missing.
