problem with growth(help please)

I transplanted 26 plants into pure organic compost and put them under a double fluro. about 2 inches away from the lights and they dont seem to be growing. Some look healthy and some are kind of withered. They just got their second set of true leaves. I think the unhealthyness of them is due to the pure organic compost. Their stems are hella purple too. Please Help!!!

you should have mixed the compost with starter soil but do they show any sort of burns on it. like yellowing or browning

o and a 2 tube floro is way to little light for 26 plants dude

Well I am only starting them, see, I will then put them outside for the summer. And a couple show signs of yellowing.

have you been watering? how often do you water? it sounds like nute burn but it can be something else. do you have good ventilation?

The ventilation is fine, and I water them whenever the soil is dry to the touch. I water once or twice a day at least.
