How do i bring the PH level down?!?!?

Hi all. I was hoping someone could give me some ideas on how to bring the ph level of my soil down?? I've considered putting crushed oyster shells in some water to add calcium to the soil so hopefully that will act as a base and neutralize the acid but im not sure so I wanted to consult someone first. I'd appreciate any feedback you guys can give me.

the ph in your water is what you want to bring down, go to the local grow supply store and there's some hydrochloric(?) acid 85%, you add it to your water and food to bring down ph levels you should be able to pick up some test strips there also to check your level or buy an electronic tester.
