young plant falling over
I have a very young (a week or so) plant in soil. It shot up faster than others I planted at the same time, and is maybe 3-4 inches long. The problem is that the stem wasn't strong enough to support the growth and it fell over. I have it propped up on a string attached to both sides of the planter. 40 watt fluoro grow bulbs are approx 3 inches from the top of it. I will be using a fan to stress it into being stronger soon. Any tips on how to get this baby growing straight and strong would be appreciated.

Re: young plant falling over
you need a circulation fan blowing the air around to strengthen the stem. You can prop it up with a paper clip bent in a fashion to support it.

Re: young plant falling over
If he didn't have a fan on from the beginning, it was probally heat or a water issue.
