Re: Lights
There are a few things we have to look into :-)
I am worried about the medium (Soil) Soil down there is mostly sand. Unless you have tested the ph of your water and it's right on, I would get a bag of potting soil with no added nutrients and mix in some baked soil if you need to. This may explain the growth as well. Fine sand can compact almost solid, leaving little room for roots to struggle through. Also, the nutrients could be washing straight out with very little being uptaken into the plant. We need dirt bud :-) Good luck, nice video ;-)

Re: Lights
Hey boss thnx dood... So i could just go on to walmart and get some plain ol' potting soil? My plant is now just under 3 1/2 inches and as you could see in the video, you could see a couple strings of roots coming out the bottom... Do you think i need a bigger pot?
When i change the sand to potting soil i will something specific that i have to do or keep an eye on? And what do you mean by "baked soil"? lol, and i have no idea that "ph" mean... (I'm a negative noob, lol) |

Re: Lights
I would get a 3 gallon pot, depending on how tall you want it to get. You will need to pickup a pH test kit from the store, to test the water. I think you can get them from ebay or maybe even a trusted sponsor for about 20 bucks. You can do everything right, but if pH is off, the plant will suffer.
I like to mix the potting soil with clay, some perlite, worm castings and plant-tone organic mix for trace minerals. you can mix outdoor soil with the potting soil, but you have to strain it well and bake it in the oven for about an hour or 2 at about 200 degrees (It stinks). When you transplant just be gentle and try not to do too much root damage and you will be cool.
