ppm meters
i just bought an oaktron ppm pen. i`ve been reading bout them and it keeps getting more confusing.what is the tds factor and what should it be set at. mine is adjustable between 0.4 and 1.0. when i test my water it reads 2.0 does that mean 200ppm?

Read the instructions. They should say if you multiply by 10 or not.

the only thing it realy says is how to change it andthis.
select a calibration standard appropriate for the tdstestr high (between 2.00 ppt and10.00 ppt) it is best to select a standard close to the test solution value. the test calibration solution they sold me is grotech 1000 ppm |

ok i just read more and was able to figure it out, i hope.just found another button to set tds factor. i asume that is what the # 2 is multiplied by and then adjust it lower as my nute ppm gets higher.thats why the 1000ppm limit on calibration solution? now its time to try it.

Hanna Primo...20 bucks on Ebay and calabrates out to 1382 ppm. Works beautiful!
