Best ph meter well best bang for the buck?

I have a cheap 8 dollar pen analogue meter and it tells me my soil is at 6.5 ph which from what I understand is ok for canabis. However I have some plants showing ph type issue. Tips are curling and very dry and brittle. I just add some 12-4-8 food for the first time yesterday since I some some beginning signs nute of issues like little yellow or lighter green spots on some of the broad leaves. Now I'm scared I over nuted so I flushed the questionable plant today.

I also rasied the light a few inched since I think the plants may have been getting too close. About 1.5 inches from light. The light is sunleaves Nova using 2 6500K t55's

Hi McBudz,
I personally found it quite hard reading an analogue meter acurately,
so i ditched it and bought a digital pen type meter off ebay for just over £10,
really easy to use and read and very accurate once calibrated.

Thanks. What brand / model did you get? I found some that require you keep them in a solution and not let them dry out. Does that sound right?

I just got one that looks like this :Pen type PH ,Cond,TDS,EC,CF Meters-PH/EC/TDS Meter-E-INGINST Electron Co.,Ltd
but probably a cheaper copy version like the one's that appear on ebay,

Item number: 360071376406 is the one i have though
doesnt need constant soaking as far as the instructions state, although
it recommends putting a little drop of ph neutral water on the little bit of foam that protects the glass bulb/sensor type thing,lol.
