:welcome:

This isn't my 1st grow, I have been taking a slight break but I'm pleased to say that I'm back :yahoo: Lets get growing :cheesygrinsmiley:

Growroom :
- I'll be growing in an old 6'x8' shed that has been converted to a greenhouse. I replaced the roof with half greenhouse film/ half 30% shade cloth. It isn't the best of quality but it has proven that it can produce some decent meds :thumb:

Here are some pics from a previous grow a few years back to give you an idea of what the meds CAN look like if things go properly

Plan :

- The plan is to yield as much as possible from 4-6 plants
- Flowering should begin around the end of July which gives me about 4 months of Veg
- I will be Low Stress Training heavily to keep the vertical height manageable & to increase the # of colas
- I have a 2'x4' Scrog screen that I may decide to use, opinions are welcome !

Well that's about it for now, I'll post photo updates every week ! :thanks: for stopping by, any questions/comments/advice is much appreciated. Keep it green :ganjamon:

cool! good luck with your grow!

:thanks: Hope you stick around ! :cheesygrinsmiley:

Hey I know that shed , just kidding. I wish I could convert mine like yours and use natural sun light. I will be watching your grow over the coming weeks. Best of luck.
:laughtwo: I say go for it ! It is a low budget solution to a sturdy stealthy greenhouse & :thanks: for the luck, I may need it

Sorry everyone for the late update I have been really busy lately & I left my plants at a friends because my MJ card recently expired, I renewed it today & I will be getting the plants back tomorrow. I will post a photo update tomorrow asap :cheesygrinsmiley:

Nothing like the power of the sun to build giant nugs. Good luck with your grow.

Update : 4/8/13

The OG #18 & Snow White are now on Day 20 & have slowed a little due to transplanting. The Vortex, Q. Train, SSSDH, & P. Chunk are right behind on Day 17 & were transplanted into 4" square pots this morning. The P. Chunk is growing very slowly so I may toss it if it doesn't improve, I don't have space for mutants or runts ! I top dressed them all w/BPN's Myco & Earth Worm Castings (EWC) and mixed up a gallon to feed. I used 4ml:Micro/5ml:Bio Juice/5ml:Humate Tea. I spotted a few spidermites so I mixed up a light dose of Azatrol & sprayed them all down. Here are the pics :cheesygrinsmiley:

Update: 4/12/13

Okay this is just a small update to let everyone know that I have begun Low Stress Training (LST) them. The P. Chunk is the only one that has yet to be tied down because it is still too small and seems to be a runt so I may toss it, we will see by next week ! I use 2 ties when I LST, one to support the stem and one pull the top down. It's not necessary to use 2 but it works better in my opinion.
Here is the OG #18 right after she was tied down (Day 24)

Everything is looking great!

How long do you anticipate letting these veg?

subbed and full of envy

:thanks: & great question ! Flowering will begin towards the end of july/ beginning of august, which leaves about 3 1/2 - 4 months of Veg

Wow - that thing will be huge by then. I am jealous - I can't really grow outside here, just not worth the risk.

And as I said earlier, you just can't replace the sun for building great plants.

I am in for the duration even though it makes me jealous... Keep us updated with pics whenever you can.

:welcome: Thank you for joining along ! Although my growroom is nothing to be envious about it is very low budget. You can have a similar one for around $150 or cheaper :cheesygrinsmiley:

Yeah I understand where you're coming from, it's a shame that outdoor growing is so risky nowadays. If I wasn't a legal patient I wouldn't even attempt it where I live since there are always choppers flying over my house! Thank goodness for indoor grows & prop 215 :yahoo: I am hoping they will get quite large by then ! Previously I have vegged indoors under CFL's and I would move them outside to flower, so this will be my first outdoor only grow. Glad to have you sticking around ! I will post some updated pics as soon as the sun decides to pop out, it's been overcast these past few days unfortunately

:goodjob:

Looking good so far buddy. :thumb:

Really like the modifications you have made to your grow area. Very jealous of your setup.

I'm subbed, and hope the sun stays out for you my friend.

:peace: Mono

:thanks: For the kind words ! Glad to have you joining along as well :cheesygrinsmiley: The sun hasn't been out for a while actually, hopefully it will be soon though :laughtwo:

On another note, I went to check on them this morning and the Pineapple Chunk has been KIA (Killed in action) ! I was planning on culling it anyway because it was a runt but it looks like an insect took the liberty of doing it for me  It was a bare stem with half a leaf hanging off ! Now i'm down to 2 Fem's & 3 Reg's, I'm planning on taking clones off of the 2 Fem's because I don't want to wait 4-5months of Veg & have 3 of the 5 plants be males. I'm also hoping the 3 Reg's will show their pre-flowers so I can sex them sometime before flowering, I would be devastated if I have to cull half the plants after such a long veg so I want at least 4-5 guaranteed females ! I normally only use feminized seeds but this is the last of my seed stock so I didn't have much of a choice, I'm planning on placing an order with attitude on 420 so depending on when they arrive I may pop a few more feminized beans ! Anyways that's it for now, happy Monday everyone ! Time to smoke a bowl :bongrip: Keep it green :peace:

Not good to hear about the potential pest problems. Can't wait for some more pics!

To be honest I'm not too worried about pests, I've kinda learned to live with them growing outdoors. As long as I stay on top of my game to prevent infestations I shouldn't have a problem. My shed isn't exactly 100% airtight, pests can get in through cracks, the shade cloth & my intake fan so I just have to keep up with my routine sprays! During the off season I use hot shot no pest strips to prevent infestations. During the grow season I use a strong pesticide around the outside of the greenhouse, and I alternate between BT Thuricide & Azatrol to spray directly on the plants. I've noticed that using preventive measures on insects before you even spot them is a lot more effective then battling an infestation

Do you find the sprays have any effect on bud taste at the end?

I am wondering the same thing. Some of the chemicals for pest control are rather nasty. It would seem you need to be rather selective about what you would use.
