Lowryder - Closet Grow

I set up a closet for growing while awaiting my lowryder seeds. The closet has a 400w hps lamp and a 6 inch in-line duct fan pulling hot air out. There is also a vent allowing air into the small space.

My seeds arrived one week after ordering and were planted on the 22nd of October. Three days later all ten had all broken ground. The soil I am using is organic potting soil mixed with mushroom compost and compost from my compost barrels (consisting mainly of veggie scraps and other plant clippings).

Friday night 11/09 (18 days) I noticed and pulled out the first male plant. When I arrived home from work on Saturday morning, I pulled out three more male plants. All four male plants were removed and placed in my greenhouse to mature more for pollen harvesting. I would grow in the greenhouse year around, but my wife and son feel it is a security risk so I just use the greenhouse to get an early start on my veggies for the garden. The greenhouse does have a nice aroma now that the four boys moved inside.

During the past week my house and life has been rearranged with my daughter leaving her husband and moving back home. There went my room with the grow closet. But no fear, Cannabis Man is here to save the day! I put new vents into another closet and never missed a light cycle. The old closet with vents covered is now filled with my daughter's stuff. I have two grown children and both now live with my wife and I. My son and his girlfriend live in what is suppose to be the in-law suite (hurray, the in-laws have to stay in motels when the visit!!!) and my daughter took over the end of the house that I had claimed . . . my smoking room complete with computer, TV and sofa and the extra bed room. I think it is time for me to build me a room in my work shop, but for now we all live happily together. A family that smokes together, stays together or at least raid the frig together! One bonus with my daughter moving in is that I have taken control of her computer while mine is down.

So for now, I am going to fill a bowl and then try to figure out where I'm going to put all my stuff. All my tie dyed had to come down

Never a dull moment!! Sweet that your family can be so close. :) I'm quite interested in your Lowryder grow. I hope it makes it through the next 4 or 5 weeks w/ sizable colas!

At nineteen days these four males were identified and it was discovered that their intentions were not honorable so that were banned to the greenhouse.


Then there were six . . .


This morning (twenty days) another male was discovered and now there are five. Three have been identified as definitely female; there is one that I suspect is a male . . . will check again in the morning; and one is the little skinny kid praying for puberty (hopefully she is a female).

Well, the official count is in; out of 10 seeds planted, four were female and six were male. I took the last male out after enjoying a wonderful plate of pancakes made with cannabutter. Mmmmm, they were good and they are kicking in. The other five females are in the greenhouse and this sixth one will be joining them. I'm thinking (yes, I smoke marijuana and can still think) that I will allow the males to continue to grow; harvest some pollen and make some more cannabutter. I've heard mixed opinions as to whether using a male plant is effective. I figure that there is nothing lost from trying. I have placed a figurine of a Navajo medicine doctor in with the girls. I am told the Navajo medicine doctors would dress up as clowns and felt that laughter was good medicine. I also believe laughter is good medicine; plus I just like the look of the medicine doctor bending over and making a silly face through his legs. Smoke on everyone and have a wonderful week.

Nope, just stuck them in the ground . . . just like mother nature. I don't germinate my seeds for my vegetable garden.

I ordered some lowryder 2 seeds and they will take the space where the boys were. My goal is to never be out of weed again.

Why were you trying to get more males moose?? Trying to get some crosses??
