Boss's Poor Mans Grow

Epsom salts. Many bloom formulas are derived from magnesium sulfate. Epsom salts is magnesium sulfate. Seems to really help keep the leaf green during the flower period and its easy to get and so freakin cheap that it won't break your budget. I got best results just using it as a supplament in conjunction with my fertilizer. 1 table spoon per gallon is considered half strengh and will not burn plants. I never felt a need to go higher.
Can also be used to supplement the veg phase too but you still need a vegging fert.

Ahh, see! That's what I am after, a poor mans grow! When I needed magnisium, I ground walnuts in a machine and added water, then folier fed :-) (I was gonna keep that a secret)

^mmm...will have to try that. I have some gardenias in my back garden that are a bit yellow, and I was going to dose them with epsom. The walnuts sound cool. Good tip mate!

You have to use a quisenart (sp) no chunks at all, otherwise, it wont go through the pump sprayer :-0

Nope, but my pump sprayers are both broken...

I am going to try that in the morning. I will steep the mash in water overnight, strain and apply. Great idea. i love these odd ways to use cheap alternatives.

I really don't know exactly how far along I am, but around 40 days.

Oh, the carbon filter is not working good enough, I need more carbon, so that's tonights plan. Wife went down there and said she can smell it at the stairs. HINT: When a woman tells you she smells somthing, 99% of the time, she is right. (The gas company man told me this, and since my wife called them, he knew there was a leak somewhere)

In case anyone was wondering, I dont use my soft water for the ladies, I use rainwater, and melted snow :-) We have had plenty to keep them wet lately, thank goodness.

And also, I believe someone earlier brought up the idea of reflectors and you had seen ones that dont fit.
Consider procuring some thin sheet metal, cutting with tin snips, and designing your own. You will get alot more of the CFL light directed downwards which will only benefit the plants. You seem like an intelligent guy so im sure you dont need instructions. The lumens rated on the package are given off in every direction. You'll increase the amount of lumens reaching your plants. Those CFLs stay somewhat cool. No venting will be nessescary.

The reason I ask is that plant has grown different, needed different nutes, always looked lighter green, and has longer thinner leaves.
