Punk's Micro-StealhGrow Bagseed 12/12 from seed

okay so i finally decided to take the plunge. tired of fucken around with dealers who almost get me caught up.... anywhoo. so as the title says its a micro grow, only 3 beans but im probably gonna use either 4 or 6 CFL's (not sure what kind yet)and lst and scrog like a bitch. my area is a 55? gal sterilite (rubbermaid tote-like) with 2 wheels for easy moving ect. I am probably going to get my nutes and lights tomorrow. tonight i will be using the moist paper towel method for germination. as seedlings they will be in about a cup 1/2 volume red party cup filled with organic soil and my very own self harvested worm castings from my worm bin outside. anyways just to let you guys know ahead of time, hopefully these babies will start sprouting and are ready for transplant on the 4th :) my hope is that i get one girl, a little bud, and some more experience before i move into a new place near september, so if there are any girls in here ill be harvesting sometime around sept 1st. about 2 months flower, a little less.... eh im not looking for da dankest shit around, but this is kinda like a test/retry grow. so all help would be appreciated, and i will update with pics as soon as there are any really worth posting. thanks in advance--

hehehe. thanks man. just looked under the paper towel and no roots yet... ill probably be adding a drop of superthrive to 2 liters of water and redoing it after i skuff up the seeds a little with some sandpaper and a matchbox. if u are confused i heard about this somewhere that if the seeds are not germing fast enough then you can skuff up the outside a little by taping some sandpaper in a matchbox and shaking it lightly for a few seconds to loosen up the shell and help the root poke thru.

ahh update!
just checked on the beans. all of them seemed to have still not germ'ed, but one. i can see a small little tip of a root on one of the bigger ones. the others still no go. i will post a pic as soon as my phone can actually see the roots. lol. thanks :) oh and i am also turning an old pc case into my vegging room for right now, mom room later.

the pc case has useable dimensions of 7" w 14.5" d 11" t. i figure if i just keep 2 bonsai moms ill be good till i move, then i can really start getting to work!

well i checked this morning and the root tip had only come out a small amount. i transferred them to a room temperature glass of water and put them over my working tower to warm up a bit.

okay so! good news. i decided to transplant the seeds into some expanded pellets with a good 1/4 dose of superthrive to a liter of water and put a dome on top of it. also made 4 really cool wick systems which i will use later once i get some seedlings. finished making my bin as reflective as possible with some aluminum foil. i know its bad, but its all i could come up with at the time. right now i have 4 cfls going 2 100w Soft White, and 2 75w daylight. these babies are suspened about 10 inches from the light. tomorrow i will set some bricks in there to get the pellets about 2 inches away or so from the lights. i need to figure out a way to put in a couple computer fans in there. :\ well here are the pics.


here is my bin. its not 100% light proof, but throw a couple towels over it and you cant see the light coming out even when my room is pitch black.


here are the 4 pellets i have sitting in some 1/4 dose superthrive water.


here are my wick systems. extremely cheap. inside the smaller containers is not perlite, but pumice. i didnt want a huge bag of perlite, so i opted to get a smaller bag of pumice. it looks the same. and has the same purpose... please tell me if that is a bad idea.


This is inside of my bin. there will be a MASSIVE scrog on these plants.

yeah one out of the 4 will be girls. i am almost sure. if not a buddy of mine said if the seeds fail, he would take like 2 cuttings off his sweet grape kush mom. so im kinda hoping these seeds fuck up. lol.

lights came on at 8 this morning. temps running high. i really need help with wiring a computer fan or two so it can sit in there and circulate more. ive done a great deal looking around, but no dice on help with wiring a computer fan so it works off a power strip.

i have heard of ways to wire them into old cell phone chargers? i have quite a few of those, so that would work REALLY well. i still cant find anything on it here. but anyways. i had the light on all day and the temps actually didnt seem to get worse. so i think i will be fine for now. i think im just gonna end up buying a very small oscillating fan and just mounting it in the corner and plugging it in directly to the strip coming from the wall outlet thats always on and supports the strip with the lights on it and my phone charger for extra stealth. :p

How to POWER computer fan?!

If you put an oscillating fan in the box with the lights and the plants without having an inlet source of fresh air, and an outlet for hot air, all you'll do is add heat to the closed system.

Unlike people, plants don't sweat, so blowing warm over them won't cool them (no condensation effect).

The fan will help to strengthen the stems, though.

oh yeah huh... well. im going to end up getting a small exaust/intake system using 2 80mm fans with carbon fiber on the outside of each. when it pulls in air it goes thru carbon fiber to make sure no dust or hair gets in there, and when it is pushed out it doesnt have any smell :) but that will be in a couple of days, when i can actually get some sprouting going on.... i seriously dont know whats going on... maybe faulty seeds. lol. :(

okay so. i got some more stuff for the grow. got a little bit of flex tubing, some olivia's, a timer, another outlet strip, some black/white poly (so the foil comes down) an extra plug in socket w/ y-connecter. i will be putting all of this in tomorrow morning when no one is home :)
