1st Grow due to begin soon. Wish to ask questions to the community
Hello again. I have been on hiatus while relocating and buying things for the new apartment. I have also managed to pick up some things for the new grow project I have been putting together every day, little by little.
So far I have... a 1 gallon container of worm castings, bag of bone meal, bag of perlite, bag of vermiculite, bag of sphagnum peat moss. 3 color coated spray bottles, two fans of equal size (8 and a half inches in diameter for incoming/outgoing air, PH testing kit, digital timer, digital room thermometer with humidity readings, mylar for reflective lighting, mylar-like reflective tape to aid in construction of the project, ties; incase I have to train branches.. I am missing a light ( I want something in the 600w range) Seeds And I want to ask for some help pertaining to how to prepare the soil for germination and recommendation for soil for vegetation cycle. I know I can google it, but I would really like some live feedback before I can get started. Thanks guys. - TF ![]() Last edited by 420; 08-30-2008 at 04:46 AM. |

Very first 30+ yrs ago?
Was in too much of a rush for it to finish and harvested way too early. First Journaled grow? Have the third generation of my hand crafted hybrids, a pure sativa and a few other new ones Indicas and sativas, averaged 30,ooo grand a yr @ 200/z ![]() And as Mr. Gatewood would say, "I ain't been indited this week!"

Impressive to hear, the years put into it alone is what impresses me!
Speaking of Sativas... I really want to grow some indoors, but they grow much too tall, then there's the smell factor too. I guess I am really aiming at potency ( quickest hitting/longest lasting ) it's what I strive for when I pick up medicine. be it Sativa or Indica I'm smoking on this right now. I took the picture awhile back, though. I do still have about a quarter left. (too good to smoke it quickly) Herojuana Tastes like hash in a way, kind of piney but not so much, more like a faded, light pine taste. The high is pretty powerful and is one of the strains I smoke slowly and not too often since it lasts awhile and hits pretty quick. I took this on a 10 mega pixel Cannon Eos 40d. Nice
![]() Thanks, there are more than me with more activity of the the same period. Some of the best US growers have been assholes and elbows for that long and longer. I take a lot of pride in the fact that I have never had Med strains But what I Produce is right there with them, even after 3 generations. ![]()

Re: 1st Grow due to begin soon. Wish to ask questions to the community
I hear you, man. I am trying to find out what the organic craze is about. I hear smoothest taste, best potency and best looking buds when done fully organic and that 2 weeks flushing prior to harvest is a god send.
Anytime I read about growing "proper" weed, I hear about flushing 2 weeks, so I'm gonna really emphasize that. Anyhow. I'm half done rolling this Tulip, so I'm gonna finish that and install the water cooling on my new rig. I appreciate the conversation and I hope to talk to you again soon. |
