Hi I looking for the best efficiency and big yield for my tentthe options is:
40x 3590 on 0.7a
Or
30x 3590 on 1.4a

30 x cxb3590 @ 1.4A would give you a ppfd of 1329 in that sized space. 1500watts @ 56% efficient. CO2 probably needed at this much light.

40 x cxb3590 36v @ .7A would be a ppfd of 950 in the same sized space. 920w @ 64% efficient.

What's your electricity costs like? I ask because 23watts per cxb3590 is a bit expensive to build, and 50-75w usually work out a faster ROI. Around 20 x cxb3590 36v @ 1.4A is probably what you want in that space. Ppfd of 886, 1000w @ 56%.

Now i have 3x hps 600w so the electicity coast is less in led light. You say 1.4a its better then 0.7a ?

I mean your cost per kWh, US average is $.12/kWh so the added expense of 20 extra cxb3590s to build may not be worth the small increase in efficiency.

But .7A will be about 64% efficient, and 1.4A about 56% efficient.

HLG240-1400 is good for 5 x cxb3590 36v. So 5 of them for 25 chips.

Or hlg185-1400 is good for 4 x cxb3590 36v each, so 6 comes out perfectly for 24 cobs.

Passive is better for wall efficiency, and is easier to build. But active may be easier to find/cheaper to build.

If you're US, these aren't much more than sourcing the parts yourself, and come pre-wired. Just build a frame and screw them in.

Otherwise you'll probably want that type of heatsink for passive, they're available a few places drilled and tapped for the 3590 already.

Oh yeah, KB will do. But remove your link on :420:. Only sponsor links or led companies here.

As low as 100mm for most pin sinks, but I'd rather have 110mm+.
