HPS Light System!

Hello there all... ! I just receive my seeds on the mail and i think im ready to start purchasing my light systems for my first grow... i want to get either a 400 or 600W HPS light system any certain systems out there you guys recommend ?? My budget it around $350 bucks..

i haven't started germing any of the seeds yet im just getting my setup together

I would get a switchable ballast for just over $200 on the net. Then you buy 2 bulbs HD for veg and HPS for flowering.....best of both worlds

Go with a digital balast. I have narrowed mine to either the Lumatek or Galaxy. I plan to use an air cooled reflector to keep heat in check. You should be able to do a 600 watt setup for $350.

Cfl bulbs, cheap and you can get them anywhere.

No reason you can't veg & flower with an HPS.

U can do this but be prepared for tall plants that need support for stems and branches (in soil). I did it twice. It turned out decent. But I like Metal Halide for veg. Only other light I ever used to veg were CFLs (pretty decent) and regular florescents (from Home depot).
