Milwaukee 600 ph meter

I have a milwaukee 600 ph meter, it's the first meter I've ever owned. It seems to take a while to get a reading on mine and maybe that's how it suppose to work, I thought it gave more of an instant reading. When I stick it in my water checking ph it starts out reading high like 8.2 then slowly starts coming down. It takes it 2 or 3 seconds to move down a notch...for example...reading 8.2 then wait 2 sec. then 8.1, wait 8.0, wait 7.9, so on. Seems to take too long... when I put meter in calibration solution it reads immediately 7.1.
Is something wrong with my meter ???

Honestly that meter is not great. I've used it, have friends who've used it, customers who've used it and we don't sell it anymore. It's poorly made.

Look into one from HM, its a higher quality and more reliable. It's not quite the best of the best but a great middle ground.

Hey JJ, Thanks for you input. What about bluelab ?? Or HM just as good...I want to get waterproof combination meter. Ph and tds waterproof.
Need to get it while I got the $$..lol

Bluelab is a step up, IMO.

What is your price range? I don't usually recommend combo meters because one feature always malfunctions in our experience.

Well I'm not interested in combo if that happens , didn't think about that. I want to know what you think about the stick kind for tds or ec can't remember which. Blue lab makes them. On a single ph meter around 100.00. That should get a good one.
