Co2Boost... Anyone ever use this system?

Has anyone ever tried using this Co2Boost system?
Here is what it said on the flyer i grabbed at the hydro store:

"All you have to do is plug in your system which consists of an air pump,
container of Co2Boost and 6 feet of air tubing... provide your plants with Co2 for up to 90 days."

Apparently it slowly releases the compost gases (Co2) from rotting mushrooms and gradually releases them into the grow room. It looks pretty neat but I would like to get a trustworthy testimonial before ever using it...

I use the tabs every now and then...They work fine. No need for a Co2 system unless your doing a large scale grow.

what kinda tabs?

I use No Mercy tabs. They work wonders. Check em out, do a search. Their not a nessescity but they do make a difference...And I can notice that difference.

You might also try Excellofizz CO2 pucks. They've got em at my local hydro shop, so maybe you can find some near you...

I tried the excello pucks when thery first came out! What a mess! They left a residue all over the leaves of my plants and walls and everything else in the room. Nasty.
I'm the type that if your going to do it, do it right. These cheap set ups aren't always good things. Plus plants don't use co2 in the dark times and there isn't a way to control that with most of these homemade and cheap set ups.

i saw the co2boost at the hydro store an u can def turn it off,.. i wonder if it is a newer system..

Racefan, good info brother. I had never tried the excello pucks so thanks for the warning, I wont be reccomending them anymore...

I noticed a great difference from before when i wasnt running it. Super simple setup on a simple $10 timer and it runs when lights up.

i use it on my 1st grow the yield was good, im 3 weeks into flowering now on my 2nd grow,(without the co2boost bucket) and they look the same so far. ill let you know how it turns out.

do these no murcy supply if you dont got equipment for co2 do recommend i use the cos tablets for my hydrosystem

I was wondering if anyone knew if the same setup might help. It's a DIY yeast co2 generator. Just yeast, sugar and water using a air pump and a 2 liter bottle with fish tubing to a bubble stone to distribute it in the water. I's used aot in aquariums to feed aqua plants. I don't know how much it puts out but I figgured a little might be better than none in a closet grow. Or am I blowing smoke in the wind? It's suppose to last up to 3 weeks. Just a thought. Not that I have many. Has anyone else ever heard of this setup? Stay Down.
