I recently picked up a rapidtest mini PH tester for soil and a rapidtest moisture meter. Does anybody have anything good or bad to say about either product. I'd like to figure out how much faith I can put in them.

the moisture meter will be fine, you will phase it out after you get it down. I would put a decent PH pen on the "to get" list. IMO, it is a very important tool in our trade... You can get them fairly cheap too if you look around a bit...

Like most things, you get what you pay for.
Our (close to), top of the line combo meter at work (pH,EC,PPM), cost right at $750. ![]() That is stupidly expensive, but it also points out what can you expect from a $20 epray special. The best compromise I've seen is the Milwaukees that are in the $50-$70 range for single function, say just pH, or just EC, or about double that for combo meters. Do your research and spend wisely, then grow well. ![]() DD |
