drying buds

this guy gave us some of his plant to pick the buds off of and now i need to dry them... what do i do i heard keep them in light so i have them in my closet and with a 18" floro about 3 feet away so it dont dry to quick what else should i do

it's very important to keep the humidity down... you can hang 'em upside down too if you want..

thanks.. i already picked the buds off the branches so I cant hang them upside down but if i put them in a paper bag and put a small 3" computer fan blowing in the bag or just in direction of the bag

i know this is a bit old but I wouldn't use the light if I were you Iv heard light can degrade your bud. Keep them cool, dark, and not damp.

LIGHT DEGRADES THC....simple as that...either hang them or put them in a brown paper bag and let them dry out for 3-4 days or untill the stem can just about snap then put them in jars and cure them for about 2 weeks minimum before you toke for the best smoke
