when are seeds ready

Hi im on my first grow and one of my plants is a hermi and it has many seed pods it has been flowering for about 3 weeks and i was wondering what the indications that the seeds are mature enough to harvest.

The seeds will split the bracts open when they're ripe and will look shiny and dark and fat. Usually 5-8 weeks after first getting knocked up. Plants grown from these seeds will be almost all female but also will have a much greater chance of being hermie too.

Be careful with your seeds if it a hermie. There is nothing worse than having a great grow and having a hermie spit out pollen all over your plants. Hope that you do get some seeds that are a bit stable and dont hermie on you. I grow a feminised seed plant that will show some little male Bananas but I just pull them off, or, leave 1 or 2 to seed with another same variety to get more feminised seeds.

Hmmm.... I thought that feminized seeds are only made if a female plant is pollenated by a forced hermi. I would think that seeds on a hermi will only produce hermi's.

i killed a few blueberry plants by stressing the shit out of them and got them to produce seeds. Im growing 6 of the seeds now, all were female. Im ab out to isolate them in a corner with a few quick made walls and flower them. I have seen no male preflower but im sure i'll have to watch them closely in flower.

forgot my question ... lol Does anyone have experience with the strain? My first round with it i let die obv while outa town for 6 days. I changed water in my dwc buckets and left and came back to 8.5 ph and fried roots. How concerned should i be with the new females herming?

yea i wont leave the house for more than a day now lol!. I didn't know about the mass ph flux after a water change at the time it happened. As soon as i sell some of my current harvest, going to buy a nice cam and start a blog. As of now my camera doesn't work in my bloom room, the refresh rate of 1000w hps makes lines across camera screen.

Ive been looking for answers for this for a while i really appreciate it. Im going to let this strain go after i flower these. I've invested a lot of time and money in my set up and when i run a full tray its too packed to inspect for herms all the time.

also if i see any male flowers in the first 3 weeks of flower i will kill the plant. If it tosses a few in at 6 weeks i'll be ok. They are partitioned in my grow room in a corner but i have another beautiful tray in there and i dont want to risk males in my room.

Stress hermies will only hermie if you stress them again. it's natural hermies that will carry the trait and hermie easily. I wouldn't worry too much but just like any plant...watch them.
