I've never seen it done with leaves. I have with bud and it will knock you stupid.
The dry bud, about a 1/4 to 1/2 oz. is used at the end of fermentation,ie:"dry hopping" in brew geek speak, and are left in the still slightly fermenting ale for anywhere from 3 days to a few months. A piney smelling bud would go good with a pale ale. Weed and hops being so closely related, the flavor of the resin profiles are similar. Different flavor with leaf than bud. You might try racking the beer to a secondary fermenter with a layer of cleaned leaves in the bottom a couple of days before you bottle. It should be enough time for the alcohol to do it's stuff on the THC and you get the weed doing the bonus duty of the "Beechwood Aging" Bud uses to remove the excess yeast from their beer. |

Rinsed clean in hot water to remove any wild yeast and bacteria that might be on them. You might even want to give the leaves a short boil, just to be extra careful.
You don't want your herb beer to go sour and not be able to drink it. |
