New York Governor Andrew Cuomo Friday signed a bill into law to help grow the State's industrial hemp industry.

Senator Tom O'Mara says the bill will allow for the transportation, processing, sale, and distribution of hemp grown as part of the state's research pilot program.

It also allows Cornell and other universities and partner farmers to establish economic opportunities that will lay the groundwork for a full-fledged agricultural industry once the crop is fully legalized by the federal government.
