introduce Industrial Hemp legislation again this session in Boise(three separate bills). Representative Trail introduced industrial hemp legislation last year that died in the agricultural affairs committee. Idaho State Representative Maxine Bell (R) serves on the Idaho State agricultural affairs committee and was the moderator at the Dec 13-15, 2000, National Conference of State Legislatures (NCSL) meeting that debated an industrial hemp resolution before the NCSL's Agriculture and International Trade Committee. The NCSL passed the resolution introduced by Representative Jon Nelson (R-ND) asking for the United States Dept. of Agriculture (USDA), Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA), and the Office of Drug Control Policy (ONDCP) to adopt an official definition of Industrial Hemp as per those nations currently producing hemp.
