About 3-4 days if the footage is all in one place, like with the documentary, "The Union" that I used for this piece. If I need to surf around to find different clips, it can take up to a week. Usually, it takes about 2 days to pour through the raw material to find the clips I want. Sometimes, I already have a song in mind, but sometimes I don't. Next, is trying to fit the clips with the song I ended up choosing for them. This is the hardest part, especially when there's audio already embedded in the video. I tweak it the best I can to minimize the sounds I don't want. I wish I had better skills or software to completely eliminate them, but I don't. Sniff sniff
