Large base stalk

HI forum, I have a question about the stalks of 2 of my plants. Right at the base above the soil the stem of my plant is abnormally large. I can't even get my hand around it. but then about 4" higher it goes to a normal size of a stem. Its even growing so big so fast that they start to split. Is this something good or bad? The plants don't seam to be effected by it. They still produce like the other plants if not more.

Is it only one strain. It appears the one in the background isn't. Could be genes.

They are both the same strain yes but there are others in the room that are the same strain that aren't doing it. We have ran this strain many times and have only recently had this happen.

If you can't find the answer, or even if you do, it would be interesting to slice and dice it after harvest to see what's up.

I have one looking like that,I have no reasons, mine is fat like yours but my "splitting" hasnt been that severe
In MY case,I have not grown these out before.

topside is green and healthy,so my concern is up there,

hope ya find an answer,I could use some explaining, myself
