Nature Mix - will it work?

Hey guys, I want to transplant my Columbian red haze into this potting soil I bought..this is the lowdown:

Premium Nature Mix by Horbitec Organic Mix

Ingredients: Peat moss, humus, compost and perlite

Says optimal blooming, ready to use soil mix

Will I have to add anything? This is my first fully organic grow!

You shouldn't for ...
'er till they need it, 1-3 months NORML-y with fresh dirt.
Depends on how fast you want them to grow.

compost should have everything they need.

Just make sure it has all the componants you will need. Then just add whats not there.

This sounds like a very good soil to me. This soil would be a great medium to build on because there is no added ferts. out of the bag, you get to customize. There are a few things you can add to make this soil better.

Vermiculite- For added water retention.

Dry fertilizer- For Blooming you could add an additional dry fert. higher in phosphorus. I like Rainbow mix "Bloom" and/or bat guano.

Dolomite Lime- As the peat breaks down, the soil will become increasingly more acidic. Adding a small amount of dolomite lime to the soil will help keep pH levels steady.

I'm certain the soil will work as is but theres always room to have some fun and improve your results while your at it.

I tried something like this the first time and did not have any luck. I would add some good ole dirt to the mix as well ,cheep stuff or u could get some potting soil to mix it with .. Just seemed like it was more compost that was not ready yet ... would e great in a few years decomposed a bit but again i am new and just trying to help i may have done something else wrong but since mixing my own i am having much better results

Good to know, what was the make up of the soil you were talking about and who made it?
Did your plants not grow in it?
