Police arrested a Calumet City man Thursday afternoon for drug possession, accusing him of using Craigslist to advertise marijuana for sale to people in Chicago and the suburbs.

The police saw an advertisement on Craigslist that suggested the person posting the message would deliver drugs to Chicago and "the 'burbs." A police investigator communicated online with the person, who the police allege agreed to come to an apartment building on the 800 block of North York Road in Elmhurst to sell a half-ounce of marijuana.

Michael E. Ristau, 31, of 89 Oglesby, Calumet City, arrived at the location, where the police arrested him. Officials report he had 14 grams of marijuana with him and 15 more grams of marijuana in his car.

Ristau was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana with intent to deliver.
