"No matter the amount of negativity you're presented with, five minutes from now could be your best moment," says Mod Sun, and his music reflects this attitude. The rapper's 2012 project was titled Happy As Fuck; he named his book Did I Ever Wake Up?. Even his artistic moniker contains a hidden positive message: Mod Sun stands for "Movement On Dreams Stand Under None." After putting out six mixtapes and three EPs, the rapper -- originally from Minnesota -- is prepping his debut full-length. Today Billboard is exclusively premiering the video for "Never Quit," featuring Travis Barker (best known as the drummer for Blink-182).

"Never Quit" is guitar-heavy, touching on punk and surf rock. The track moves from quickly-spoken verses into a heavily riffed, shout-along hook. Naturally, Mod Sun is excited, yelling gleefully, "I'll never quit, never quit smoking." Barker, who appears on drums in the video, frequently collaborates with rappers: his 2011 solo album featured verses from Busta Rhymes, Raekwon, and Lil Wayne. More recently, he was featured on Run The Jewels' "All Due Respect" from their acclaimed second album RTJ2.

The clip for "Never Quit" opens with fake warning from the Surgeon General: "Marijuana is a flower like all other flowers you are familiar with. It is found in the wild, and possesses natural healing capabilities." While Mod Sun and Barker rip through the song, the camera follows the adventures of a kid dressed up as a marijuana plant.

Look Up comes out March 10. The band goes on tour in February.
