Colorado: City's Pot Buffers Given Another Week To Cure

Pueblo County's marijuana regulations left consequences that the county commissioners are hoping to correct.

But it will take another week before proposed changes to the laws are considered.

The board decided to table amendments to the county's marijuana regulations that would impose buffer zones between medical or recreational marijuana stores and residences and between one store and another.

The buffers won't affect existing stores, but whether those buffer zones will be in effect if an existing store closes or relocates is a question the commissioners asked staff to clarify before they take a final vote.

The new regulations would put a 1,000-foot buffer between existing marijuana stores, whether they're for medical or recreational weed.
