EURO-MP REMANDED

An Italian Euro-MP became the second politician to appear before
magistrates on a drug charge yesterday after being charged with possession
of cannabis during a protest on Thursday. Marco Cappato, of Milan, was
bailed by magistrates in Stockport, on one charge of possessing cannabis.
He had been in the town to support his English counterpart, Chris Davies,
who was bailed on Thursday for a similar offence during a protest over UK
drug laws.
