Hundreds of illegal plants, worth millions of dollars, has yielded one of the biggest drug busts the valley has ever seen.
Officers found the field about two months ago during a helicopter fly-over. Since that time, the area had been under surveillance. Monday, the investigation wrapped up with the arrest of 55-year-old Jacob Vickers. His home is just a short walk from the illegal growth. Officers say because of the amount being grown, it's likely the product was being sold. A total of 550 plants were found on the plot of land in the woods. Officers say each plant could be worth $2000, making the bust a million dollar find. Vickers is in the county jail. He's facing drug charges, plus a breaking and entering charge. The property he was allegedly planting on actually belongs to the Eramet Plant.
