Got a few Auto Berry Flower seed from CK. Followed the directions incase my memory was failing.
Soaked and papered. Took about a week for all seeds (5) to get a good tap.
Planted on different days be cause of tap root length.
Three of five are now about three inch sprouts with baby leaves.
Two more will sprout soon.
Now the work begins.
Each five gallon pot has small river rocks for drainage and weight.
One part sheep manure
One part triple mix
Two parts top soil.

Will be moving outside with in a week.
Full sun all day and privacy next to my veg garden.

Of the five seeds one has past on to the compose. It didn't root well.
I think I may have been a bit shallow at 1&1/2 inches into my soil.
All pots are about 2.5 gallon at moment but will move to bigger planters in a few weeks.
I just placed outside today.
All stand about 3-4 inches tall
with four leaves. Two small regular and to seedling leaves.
I topped up the planters with a peat & soil mixture about an inch.
The peat helps keep the soil moist as the plant are in the sun for 7 to 8 hours. 1100 hrs to 1900 right now.
So its been approximately 3 weeks.
So these little darlings should take off soon.

After 24 hours outside Im down to 3&1/2.
This is now day three with an overnight rain.
My stems are 3-4 inches with 4 littles leaves. It this normal?
Should I bury the stems to the leaves?

Squirrels. Dang varmints!!
Thats the 1/2, hoping it will knot and heal at break. Supported with soil.
It has worked on green beans and other veg I grow.

Tip about squirrels.
They do not like peppermint or spearmint.
So if growing outside get a few of these growing around. In the meantime.
I took peppermint oil and dipped Q-tips in it. Stuck them in my pots.
Some more peppermint oil and left it on ground around plants.
No squirrels.
One actually scampered up, sneezed and left.
So I may have found something that works.
Mothballs are too smelly.
(But good to expel skunks)

The growing is coming along.
I'm down to three plants. The one attacked by nosy squirrel didn't make it.
Plant are about 4" with lots of leaf growth.
Getting lots of sunshine.
I'm using rain barrel water to keep the soil damp. I give it a light watering every day.
I'm using a bone meal blood meal fertiliser in my water. A table spoon for one gallon of water.
Any suggestions would be great.
The pots are a mixture of triple mix, sheep manure and topsoil.
With some peat left over from veg garden. Peat is just into top soil on top to hold moisture.
I started three more which where planted two days ago. Tap roots where about an inch long.
From May 15 to June 14 three plants are showing a good start.
Take care

Hope all is well in your world.

Is this grow still alive?

We would love to be updated with some pictures and info.

How about posting a 420 Strain Review?

If you need any help with posting photos, please read our Photo Gallery Tutorial.

I am moving this to Abandoned Journals until we get updates.

Sending you lots of love and positive energy.

I added three more plants to the crop. Of the five seeds I germinated and started three are left. Total of six.
One has started to bud, little flowers are starting. I tried to find a dyna grow that I have read about for the flowering stage. But could not. I went with a product that has little nitogen but heavy in phospherous and calcium.
I use miracle gro on my flowers in my other garden.
I tried transplanting one of my first plants that hasn't started to bud. I may have damaged it. Holy cow, lots of roots. Okay so mistakes of learning, but its been just as much fun learning it all.
The plants are averaging from 10" to 14". And even though they are the same strain berry auto flower, some of the DNA of its ancestary is showing in the leaf growth.
So cool.
Like studying peas back in bio class.
My rain barrel has been a great bonus of late because its been very dry. I am also using tap water that has been standin for a few days. No flouride in our tap water. But it is hard because if the lime stone beneath us. I may and try and germinate a couple more seeds to see if they'll be ready before Oct. frost. And because I want to try something in planting to see if it works.
Any info is greatly appreciated.
I will include a photo or two in next post. I apologies as I have been very busy the past few weeks.
Cheers
