looks great man, now that i've seen what you're working with I can try to help a little more.
Those cfls look great and will do well for the next few weeks. If you're going to go with organics, check out Roots organic soils. They have a few different premixed soils that work great. |

Looks really good, great job with taking your time and doing this right, this will work well for you.
After a few weeks, your first issue will be the space; they will start to stretch because they'll be wanting more light by then. You have a few options; 1. You could get some more supplimental cfl's to help out. They'll be a cheap fix for now but you'll have to decide if you want to flower with them as well. I'm not saying that smaller wattage cfls can't deliver results at harvest time, just think it might be a little wasteful. 2. You could invest in a 200w cfl from a specialty light store found on google or better yet, the sponsor list. I have seen some real results with these type of cfls, but it still isnt anything like HID. If you chose to go this route you can still use the cfls you have for supplimental lighting for the lower branches. 3. You could get a small wattage HID system, maybe a switchable MH/HPS compact system or something similar. However, with any HID you will need more space to deal with the temp. and to keep from burning the plant. Either way i would suggest getting a little more room. Unless you wanted to try LST or something, I don't see those plants fitting in there. good work! KEEP IT UP!!!! |

the problem with space is my closet is really small it already takes up half of my closet, maybe i can just try one plant at a time or maybe try to make it a little bigger somehow. And when its time to flower them ill just buy a 200w cfl like you said, i found one for $70

yeah true, now I'm just waiting on my white widow seeds. if they even make it here cause were in the us, have you had any luck with ordering seeds? and my purple stavia seed doesn't look like its going to make it cause before when it like barely started to sprout and i put it in soil and it looked like it was killing it so i put it back in water, now it hasn't really done anything. Im trying that one with another seed I'm not exactly sure what it is, but i got it out of some "purp" but it wasn't purple, it was good though i guess ill find out if it germinates.

Yeah I've had good luck with all of my orders, I dont think I can list the websites here... but I've ordered from three different online companies and recieved all of my orders within 2 weeks of the confirmation email.
I germinate a different way; I'll let them sit in a glass of water until they sink, then put them in between wet paper towels on a plate with another plate covering it. I'll put the plates on something warm like a cable box or the back of the fridge. Check the paper towels about once every 12 hours to make sure theyre staying moist but not like soaking wet. After about a 1/2" of taproot has grown, I plant that sucker... |

Looks good you should be able to start with 3 or 4 plants in there. you want to make sure you don't have those lights in contact with the cardboard box, even though cfl's are low heat output, they could start a fire if they touch the sides of the box for any prolonged period of time. I cooked a batch of seeds that I was using a cfl to keep them warm with because I let the light get to close to the seeds. lost myself about 20 seeds, that sucked, and it was only seeds, not a house!

Yeah i'm keeping the light suspended in the middle the only way it would touch the sides is if i moved it there and then forgot about it, but thanks for the heads up. I'm wondering how i can make sure i get females without waiting like a month or two, like making clones and trying to flower them. When it came to that point id need some help with that but thats thinking a lot ahead of time i don't even have my white widow seeds yet.

I did find the light that kwsmoke was talking about, did a google search on it and found someone on ebay that had all kinds of lights, able to run metal halide or sodium bulbs with electronic ballast for very reasonable prices. you might want to check it out for the future.

I just sent you a pm, I ordered a 600 watt system, should do well with the lighting I already have, not something I need right away but for the price, even a tight wad like me couldn't pass it up!!
