hey wzup everyone im starting my 1st and a half grow if that makes sense!!!lol..(i made it halfway thru my first grow and had to abort mission).i aqctually started a journal on another site then came across this great site and decided to try posting it here to get some feedback since it was pretty stale over there. im gonna be growing 2 hogs kush plants that i got from a san diego dispensary. ive got a grow box i built that is about 36Lx24Wx40H with mylar on the walls a dual squirrel cage type fan for exhuast with 2 holes on the opposite wall and a home rigged reflector, reflecting 11 cfl's..(8 23 watt daylight 6500k,1 23 watt warm 2700k,2 23 watt warm 3500k)thats for my veg then ill switch to the opposite for flower unless i can get a 250 watt hps before that time.. ive got the fox farms trio for nutes along with superthrive and eleanors vf-11... i have fox farm ocean forest for soil... ive just put my seeds in a jiffy cup after germinating for 2 days on 24/0... ive done quite a bit of reading and have an idea on how to start but im making this journal to show my journey along with hopefully having a few seasoned growers become a part of my journey with advice along the way... i personally dont smoke im a newly made grower for my mom who has kidney failure and a couple of other ailments and im tryin to do this to help her comfortably through this time.... so yea here we go!!!! all info is welcome preferably good info... P.S...also i plan on doin the lst technique to make up for grow space.

heres a couple pics i put 2 more seeds in jiffy pots this mornin so ill have a total of 4 plants now... the other 2 that i planted at first seem to b growing a whole lot slower tha my last grow attempt.there isnt much noticible growth day to day like the first grow attempt but ill b patient and hopefully they get on track and its not a problem. i also ordered a 250 watt hps off ebay for flowering it should b here in plenty of time for that phase...

so guys i upgraded my grow box with a new cab i got off the ever so great craigslist and also got my 250 watt hps delivered..... now i ended up putting my plants in fox farms O.F. in 3 gallon pots because after a week in the jiffy pots my plants were barely like an inch tall and lookin weak. im not sure why but i transplanted em and the look way better now and have a couple sets of lil leaves growing. they're still under the cfl's for veg. i wish i wouldve just started them out in 16 oz cups rather than the jiffy pots cuz that really seems to have set me back as far as initial growth but my babies should bounce back...has anyone else had a bad experience with jiffy pots?... ive been misting them with a water,oxygen plus,and superthrive mix no nutes tho.

so yea these plants have made a super 360 and im feelin like a champ again!!! i know i got a helluva way to go but im happy for now. ive been misting em and just tryin to read as much i can about growing.... i did wanna know if there is anything i can use besides the fox farms that promote growth during veg? i just wanna maximize my yield if possible..,

looking great zills. you have got a great start and really made those little girls pop up nicely. keep up the good work and feel free to ask any questions.
lots of pics are the best way to get any help. real admirable thing you are doing for your mom. we are all like family here, anything we can help with we will be more than happy. im in for this grow

just a couple pics i took this morning after getting back from a lil weekend trip. still looking good but some of the stems are purple?! does anyone know what those can be from? and like i say besides that they look good and healthy to me... also i havent used any ferts yet because i was told the fox farms ocean forest has enough to get thru the first couple weeks.......

hey everyone ive got a couple more pics to post so far so good... Im still wondering about the purple stems and what that may mean as far as health of my plants so if anyone can give me any info it would b greatly appreciated.i lst'd the 2 bigger plants u can tell in the 1st 2 pics yea tho besides that i watered them 2 days ago with quaarter strength nutes and they took it well no nute burn or any of that.... one more question about watering and that is in the 3 gallon pots with plants about my size how much water or around how much water should i be using per plant? ive just been using 1 gallon between all 4 and it doesnt seem like a whole lot for how big the pots are.

so i'm gonna try and do 1 plant under the scrog method to see what the results are... i didn't do 1 big screen for all the plants because i was thinking of flushing and stuff like that and didn't want the hassle of all that with 4 plant pots to have to move around....soooooooooooo
we a see how it goes and any extra tips on the whole method would be cool and yes i have researched it i just havent came across a detailed grow wit pics to see how EXACTLY its done but i have a good idea.....here we go  , ,
