Hi Everyone

This is my second grow. I love growing in Coco and cant imagine growing any other way. I hope that some members of this site can learn from this grow, as I would like to be able to pass on the knowledge that members here gave me so freely, and from what I read on this great site. Of course if things go awry I know this is the place to get me back on track.

Strain: Caramelicious

Indica/Sativa: This indica/sativa hybrid is crossed back and selected on her sweet taste and great yield.

Grow Medium: Coco (ftw!) re-used from previous grow and Perlite for the bottom, which I havent tried before but I was a little short of Coco

Lighting: 400W Metal Halide for Veg, 400W High Pressure Sodium for Flower

Cooling etc: 150mm Cool Tube, 150mm Ducting, 150mm Centrifugal Fan, Aluminium Carbon Filter, Oscillating 20cm fan for air ciculation

Nutrients: Canna Coco

Environment: Grow tent, Mylar lined

This is an image from my first grow, but this is how I germinate my seeds. Placed in room temperature water in the hot water closet for about 2 days until it germinates and the root is about half an inch long.

Once they have germinated I have gone straight into small pots full of, yes, Coco! To be honest I couldn't find my expanding seed germination thingies so I just plonked them (gently) into straight Coco. Once they were about 1.5 inches high I gave them their first dose of half strength nutes, which they loved. I just kept the Coco a bit damp during this period and they were placed 2 inches under 60W of fluorescent lighting.

After about 1-2 weeks in the little pots I needed to get them into my grow tent in their permanent homes. I had Coco from a previous grow, and I sieved it to remove all the old roots.

I placed about 1.5 inches of Perlite in the bottom of each pot.

Then the sieved Coco, packing it very gently.

Then I transplanted the babies, and gave them some water with half strength nutes to help them settle into their new home.

My setup is pictured below. It evolved a lot in my previous grow, but now it is exactly how I want it. These are obviously from my previous grow.

Plugged in the Metal Halide bulb and lowered the tube so now they can grow, hit them with some full strength nutes as well.

Temps are in high 80's.

poster children for health! very nice Neg!

Update for ya'll perusal.

Currently feeding 200 ml each of full strength nutes every two days. From tonight going up to 400 ml each every 2-3 days depending on how quick they dry out.

Im rotating the plants every couple of days and changing the side that gets the light to promote uniform growth.

Plants are looking beautiful, quite compact with very little stretch.
