This is my third journal grow. I am starting this one off with the clones I took. I just built a Stack-A-ScroG where I have my 3 foot by 5 foot flowering table and screen above and I have my Veg station under neath the screen. My room is a total of 5 feet wide by nine feet long. I was able to put my Veg and Flower in a small 5' x 5' space. It makes it easier because I grow in a detached garage and heat and cold are issues but I have worked them out over past couple of grows and small rooms are easier to maintain temps in the winter. If anyone has questions, comments, or advice please feel free to post I take no offense here. Also if anyone has questions or I can offer advice feel free to post as well.
Happy growing all and enjoy!

Re: Teldren's 3' x 5' 6-Plant Stack-A-Scrog (x2 400 HPS)

I watered them good after the move because I always let them get dry till they just start to wilt. Makes it easier for me to get them under the screen. After a good watering they look like this the next day.

Ok Scrog is going to be in my other journal if you are following just posted these for Stack-A-ScroG

Now I am ready to take my clones before I flip the lights to 12/12 cycle.
OG Kush ready to be snipped and put into cloning machine.

Blue Dream ready to be snipped and cloned as well.

Re: Teldren's 3' x 5' 6-Plant Stack-A-Scrog (x2 400 HPS)

I took 5 Blue Dream and 15 OG Kush cuttings. I was going to run a OG Kush screen next round but my friend has some Grape Ape clones so I may do that instead. I have some time to make up my mind.
First clone!

Re: Teldren's 3' x 5' 6-Plant Stack-A-Scrog (x2 400 HPS)

I messed up two nights ago and forgot to plug in the cloning machine after I was messing with it. Clones were wilted as shit after 10 hours of no water. Turned it back on and they were standing back up after work. I accelerated the yellowing but they should be alright.
So far I am 5 of 5 on the Blue Dreams getting roots and 4 of 15 OG Kush's.
1 Blue Dream was ready for the cup. 3 more will go in cups today.

Re: Teldren's 3' x 5' 6-Plant Stack-A-Scrog (x2 400 HPS)

I hold my reservoir temperature at around 78 degrees and I use tap water, a little bit of Kangaroot Drench, and a little silica for stem strength. I keep the PH at 5.5 or so. The first roots started to pop in the cloner in about 10 days.

Re: Teldren's 3' x 5' 6-Plant Stack-A-Scrog (x2 400 HPS)

Yeah I am thinking of possibly going with LED's. It will get hot out there this summer and I would gain about one foot of space over the dual 400's. Also would conserve power by not having to run extra cooling fans for the lights. What you guys think? LED's or are they not worth it in the end? I already have my five patients to care-give for, which would put me at 18 veg and 18 flowering plants at once. I was thinking of building another 3'x5' stack-a-scrog on the other side of the room and adding a 4 x 3 gorilla tent in my walk in closet. I would have to do an alternating 12/12 Scrogs in the garage but it would work if I went LED's and at least one side. I will wait until next harvest to see how things work out.

Re: Teldren's 3' x 5' 6-Plant Stack-A-Scrog (x2 400 HPS)

I think LED would be a great switch T. The only issue I can think of with LED is the intensity of the light and the angle. If I am correct, you want a minimum of 2-3' of headspace over your canopy if you have very high powered LEDs, but it is not completely necessary as of course strains are all different. If that is possible in the stack-a-scrog locations I think you should. If you are going to be running that many plants in different spots the money saved in the end would probably add up to quite the amount. You might even be able to steer clear from running AC also for a majority part of the day, might need to flick on at the peak heat but I am sure the LED would keep your rooms at least -5f.. I am still putting away cash weekly for a new unit :Namaste:

But, in the long run I think LED would be a very smart choice, So, CA votes Yey! :)

Re: Teldren's 3' x 5' 6-Plant Stack-A-Scrog (x2 400 HPS)

Have you done much research into the 3w vs 5w diodes?
Keep in mind the foot print of an LED vs HID, You may need to implement an extra or a couple extra LED in a grow room to get the same coverage as an HID hood hitting most corners of the tent.

Also, kudos on the caregiving T, major props :thumb:

Re: Teldren's 3' x 5' 6-Plant Stack-A-Scrog (x2 400 HPS)

OK so I kept what rooted. Ended up with 4 Blue Dream and 4 OG Kush's. Others had rooted I just kept the 4 best of each. If anyone in Colorado wants the OG Kush clones just let me know and you can have them. My Grape Apes are about to root so I don't need the OG's.

Right: Blue Dream x 4

AT600 LED vs 1000hps day 3 - YouTube

Here's a link to a grow I've been following he's got more updates then this and is in the middle of flower now. Growing blue dream as well. This is the light I'm most interested in. Pricey yes. But this company is backed by NASA and is very accredited and has the certifications that most of these cannabis market aimed companies do not. Not to say they all can't be trusted but there are a few I wouldn't trust entirely. But as far as my research has taken me. My personal belief (without testing these lights myself yet I'll add) is this is the light I'll eventually upgrade to when I'm back in a med state. They have different lenses you can change for angle and light spread. A decent warranty. And proven results. The price tag I think has negated a lot of people buying and journaling them though. I like this guys grow because he's not trying to promote the product because of any sponsorships. He's just trying to test this light.
