so i thought i would make a journal so anyone that comes across it can help me out or give me advice so here goes
GROW SPACE
im using a spare closest in my spare bedroom its 1.1m wide by 2ft deep and about 5.5 ft high
LIGHTING
im using a 400w mh/hps with a normal reflector (non air cooled) with a normal non dimmable ballast (mh for veg & hps for flower)
EXHAUST/AIRFLOW
i have a 4" inline fan with a 100mm by 300mm carbon filter and normal 4" ducking (all running along and out the top of grow space
my intake is a 4" ducking cut into bottom of closest as a passive vent and a 6" clip on fan circulating the fresh air from intake
SEEDS
2x nirvana/master kush
2x greenhouse seeds/trainwreck
SOIL
canna terra professional potting soil with extra perlite mixed in
POTS
started in 1litre plastic ones then transplanted into plastic ones i have 17litre smart pots to put them into for flower
SUPPLEMENTS
Shropshire seaweed & great white
MY GROW SO FAR
okay so i started two of each strain (tw)(mk) in a small cup of tap water after 24 hours the (tw) both had tap roots so i planted them in 1litre pots with soil mix (c above) and put them in the grow space with light on 18/6 and after another 12 hours the two (mk) were sprouted so done the same with them
after 2days the 2(tw) and 1(mk) had popped up and a day later the 4th (mk) had popped up also (pics to come) after 7days they were all doing okay but i made the most popular nubie mistake and OVER WATERED so rather than let them possibly drown/rot or die i thought i would transplant them into the 10litre pots with dry ish soil and a good sprinkle of great white to let them dry quicker and thankfully it worked and there doing great now on day 15 now and i will get pics up today somepoint and let yo all see my setup and my girls and will be doing updates at least twice a week for anyone who wants to follow my grow
