MY First Grow!

OKAY 1ST :IM NEW (HI!, )
MY FIRST GROW WILL BE FROM 2 CLONES I JUST PICKED UP AT THE CO-OP
I THiNK THE GUY AT THE CO-OP TOLD ME THEY WERE OGxSOUR DIESEL.
NOT TOO SURE.

IDK IF I ALREADY STARTED OFF WRONG. BUT I CAME HOME.AND GOT THE CLONES 1ST WITH NONE OF THE EQUIP READY BUT....

FOR MY SET-UP I WAS THINKIN A GROW BOX. SEING AS I HAVE PLYWOOD AT HAND.FOR 2 PLANTS I WAS THINKIN A 2X2X3.5'' TALL BOX

LiGHTS: GOING CFLS. PROB. 4 ON SPLITTERS. WAS TOLD TO GET 6000K BLUE SPRECTRUM.
SOIL: NEED SOME HELP. ALTHOUGH I WAS GANNA LOOK AROUND TO FIND SOME MIXTURES
NUTES: ALSO GANNA GO LOOK AROUND THESE GREAT FORUMS.

i found these cfls. any clue if these would work with my clones?
19watts / 5500k / 840 lumens

i would say get no less than 6 of those for veg growth.

...but i would wait on a more seasoned grower to answer.

given your growing area 7sq' and needing @ 2,000+ lumens a square foot. you're looking at needing easily 14,000 lumens. so really it would take 16 of those lights to produce that.

...i could be wrong tho

walmart has 26w 1600 lumens 6500k

i keep findin better lights.i found a 42 watts cfl. dont know the lumens.
if i could get a lumen by Sq/ft guideline. would be great

These exact lights are in my veg closet also 2x 100w of the same make. They seem to work fine.

okay. i just got my shoppin done.so imma update this.
i picked up
(2) 27wt (100wt equi) && (4) cfl's 14 wt(60 wt equi)
SOIL MEDIUM:
some potting soil(non-brand)
Perlite
Peat Moss
(I CANT FIND ANY NUTES OR PH TESTER AT HOME DEPOT)!
ARE THESE NESS?!??
have transplanted each clone to a 5gl.

have made a new box.
specic. about 3 ft long and 1.5ft foot wide. lenght is about 3.5-4 ft

will finish sealin the box. wrapin with foil...
i do i need to seal ....right?.. beacause the room is huge and fairly cold.\

from what i hear foil will cause hot spots and burn your plants. buy some white matte paint and apply to your box all around to reflect the light, or buy Mylar.

i can get these 400 watt MH lights for cheaappp like 60 dollars.
are they good enought for a lil closet grow??
might have a steal..??
