Im opening a collective in Tri-cities WA and have a 2nd meeting comming up on the 12th with all the local authorities (Mayor, Pro attn, city planner, council, etc) and need to get a few general questions answered. I hope this is in the right spot :)
1. What type of license should I be looking at? Non-profit was my 1st choice but seems to have a lot of hurdles to get accomplished. Does it have to be non-profit in WA to open one or will a buissnes license (general but with MMJ collective on it) work to start? 2. I am working with the local higher ups on this as a comunity action with multiple prongs into the comunity. At this meeting I am to present my plan and reasoning why it should 1. be allowed and 2. if they should help. Big meeting and ive no background in public speaking or politics but im learning fast. So last question... 3. What should I bring up and wha should I try to stay away from? Just looking for advice from CURRENT onwer/operators only. But any advice is welcome (just make sure to note your not an owner/operator plz). Thanks in advance

I do not own or am I a part of any co-op. I might suggest also finding an Attorney in Washington State to help and assist your needs. They can also be very helpful in working along side State, Local and County officials to make sure it is donce as correctly as Wshington States Laws allow, for this. Best of luck in your endeavors. Keep us posted please.

Drumbum420 - - I also strongly suggest that you obtain legal counsel.
James Anthony specializes in medical cannabis dispensary law in California, and certainly can put you in contact with an MCD attorney who practices in Washington. 510-207-6243 or MCD Lawyer. Good luck! |
