So, in order to get into a compassion club I need to get a DR to sign papers, as well as to get a legal license..... um does this seem like a catch 22 to anyone? I can't ask a compassion club for a refferal to a DR because they don't do that..... so I am begging someone here to help.
I am a type one diabetic, as well as recently being diagnosed with bone spurring in my left hip socket, at 33 I will be in pain for the rest of my life. The bone spurring is the onset of Osteoaurthritus (sp). I smoke and it helps but I worry about the reprocussions this may have on my family life and employment and would rather go the LEGIT way, and because of this I don't smoke as often as I could for the pain and suffer and take pills that just make me sick in other ways....... I dont know many people and I have a DR who is good to my children but not so good for me.
Any help is more than appreciated. I would love to find a DR within an hour of London.
Thanks you all for your time.

I am also in southern ontario looking for a mmj friendly doctor so if i hear of any i will let you know immediately and would ask the same from you. I have a name but have had no luck becoming a patient at the clinic he works at, maybe you will have better luck.

Hi there Im also looking for a doctor in London...I have suffered with fibromyalgia since 1995 and was in a car accident 3 years ago and have 2 bulging discs now and have been on soo many kinds of pain medication but my body gets use to them and so I have to try a different one. I also go once a week and get shots in my lower back and neck. My pain doctor is willing to sign for the prescription, but I need a specialist to sign first....because my pain doctor is a regular emergency doctor with interest in pain management he doesnt have the authority to sign for my card. It pretty sad that alot of ppl who suffer from chronic pain 24/7 are unable to find a doctor to sign a little piece of paper. Right now im working with a clinic in BC ...call do no harm clinic but i guess the doctor charges for his fee and I just found out hes not cheap either...how do they expect us to pay for a doctor when we cant work...the system is soo screwed up if you ask me...I also have a friend looking into something for me...and if it works out i will definitely post it for you....keep your fingers crossed....lol.....thanks

Cheryl

Sorry to hear about your condition, your a perfect candidate for MMJ and shouldnt have any trouble getting a doctor to agree.
Best of luck mate,

yea thanks....we get that alot ...if we dont say London, Canada they think its London, England....lol...and Im hoping I can get my license.. I think its pretty stupid that I have been seeing my pain management doctor for over 2 years now and because he is not specialized in that field he can sign the form....so I have decided im gonna call about this to find out what I can do about it...

Hey guys. I know of a family doctor who recently moved clinics (I'm in the process of getting back on her roster right now), her name is Dr. Sereda and you will find her at Intercommunity Health Clinic on Dundas just east of Adelaide. She is used to deaing with people succumbed to disability and poverty, she understood me when I explained my case to her which would be impossible with most doctors. I think that she is still taking new patients into her roster. I'm sure there's other ones to, I just don't know who they are. There is a neurologist as well, I can't remember his name.

I also am from the London area and having a tough time finding another Dr who might prescribe me legal marijuana for my medical problems. First and foremost, because I already have a Dr who is ONLY my Pain Management Specialist and it seems no other Dr wants to take on a patient who is being treated with narcotics by another Doctor. Meanwhile, I have been on the Oxy's for 5 years now and would love very much to escape the detrimental effects they have had on my life. I have recently tried marijuana and researched it extensively and have come to the conclusion that it is a much better choice for my pain management and it has very little, if any, side effects. Whereas the Road-To-Narcotics that my Pain Specialist has driven me down, does not even obliterate the pain and has robbed me of many things such as an appetite and my sex drive, in touching just the tip of the ice-berg.
I cannot believe that I cannot find a Doctor who actually knows what the Hippocratic Oath is and just what it means. I am trying to save myself from the horrors of these legally prescribed narcotics and I cannot find the help that I so desperately seek. IT IS EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING!
If anyone knows of a Doctor in London who actually cares about people and might help me get my life back together and get a better grip on the pain I live with every single day of my life, then PLEASE let me know.
Also, if anyone has any info about The London Compassion Society or is a member, could you help explain the situation to me? My Pain Management Specialist will not prescribe me medicinal marijuana but he did fill out a Doctor's Form so that I can become a member possibly. Of course I can't afford to buy any so I'm not sure what good it will do being a member, but I'm just trying to feel like I'm even going in the right direction as I have lost almost everything in the past two years as a result of my condition, and things look so bleak I'm actually in fear of my life.
Can ANYONE help me?
